Hi guys
I have been trying to soak off some Leggos labels, but the glue is poeristent. Can anyone give some tips on how to get off the barcode intact?

Thanks

Some of them are harder than others ..I always fill the container with hot water & then put the jar in a plastic jug filled with boiling water, works 99% of the time & I leave them to soak overnight. Hope this helps :)

Try spraying the label with Windex or another glass cleaner until it is soaked as glass cleaner dissolves most glues

Before you go soaking labels off, invest in a good stanley knife and slit down the less glued side. Hubby showed me this in frustration of a kitchen sink full of jars.

These leggo labels are persistent. I soaked them in boiling water and windex overnight and they are not budging. This after windexing them all day yesterday!!!

Might try a stanley knife - thanks for your suggestions.

Or a hair dryer; it works with Heinz labels.

I use a white microwable plastic container 20cm in diameter. The key is to place in hot water and have some inside the jar as applies heat from inside the jar. Give it a few hours and the label should simply peel off.

You know they say Necessity is the mother of invention?..well how about "experience is the essence of inspiration!"

I discovered somewhat by accident this morning whilst in the shower that a barcode slipped off a bottle I had in there, oh so easily.:D

So...my tip is take all your bottles and cans in the shower with you and leave them in there for a few days. After numerous showers you'll find your barcodes slip off quite easily.;)

i remove labels from cans with craft knife, just slit down unglued side and usually it comes off. doesn't matter about the gluey bit as long as you get the bar code intact.
to soak off glass jar labels. i don't have any trouble if i use hot water. just stand the jar in a smaller recepticle and pour the boiling water round it. of course leave the lid off as it may explode otherwise.

I cut around the barcode with stanley knife then hold over kettle steam, comes right off. Much quicker than soaking etc.
