WOL FORMAT
Hi Everyone,
I'm working on my WOL answers - all new to me. My question is, are you meant to write your answer inside quotation marks? (eg, "The cat sat on the
mat." |

only if you're using a quote from someone other than yourself eg ....if Shakespeare wrote "to be or not to be" etc etc |

LOL...Thankyou! It comes and goes in waves. Found a couple of other newbie comments I made (under different usernames) 7 & 10yrs ago on Lottos!

Agree with above. No " if not needed. If answer requires a character limit, these are included in the quota. Also some WOL formats don't like some
punctuation for some reason.
You can get word count by pasting your answer in the 'notes' section on the Lottos comp page. This will let you know in an instant how many words, and
you can save it there too.
For character limit comps, I paste into a word document. Then go to 'review' page (from bar up top) then click on 'word count'. A little window will
pop up and tell you how many characters with and without spaces. If it is the only writing on the page, you don;t have to highlight. Otherwise, if it
is awash with key words and a few drafts (like most of my pages end up), highlight the area you want count of. Good luck and hopefully the judges love
your answers, as much as you do. |

I have only used punctuation marks on mail ins, Online always puts me over the limit no matter how hard I try. JD |
