Thats Life Mags... and other

Newbie so can be excused - not ever being a That's Lifer reader can the comps be entered if the answers are known without pruchasing the mags? And if you win do you need to produce the magazine (that's life) or are the answers to the quizes etc. enough?. Thanks all u guys for the helpful tips - i don't know where to start when i get on here am trying to work my way thru all the posts.:D:D

Spunksay, I am a regular That's Life! reader and the T&C's don't mention anything about proof of purchase, you just need to be able to prove your identity. You do need to fill in the coupon at the back of the comps section to send into them with the answers. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Polarbird's ok.

Have a third baby now . Just posted a good win 2 days ago; Navman, and expensive push bike. The most useful tip I have given is to just keep plugging on with entries. Statistics help explain the world; and we (lottos people ) will win if enough entries 'hit the fan' !

getting started

Hi,I have just joined and am not to sure what I am doing. I have just entered some competitions today. Is there a limit on how many competitions you can enter or any cost involved in entering on line? The other thing I was wondering is there any problem with subscribing to different organizations apart from getting extra mail? Im not sure who this is even going to...
posted 13-4-2009 @ 11:47 PM www

welcome! you can enter as many different competitions as you want, whatever you have the time for!

online competitions don't cost anything to enter, unless they specific 'purchase required'.

i have a hotmail address that i give for all my competition entries so that my regular email address doesn't receive any spam.

hope this answered all your questions! just enter, enter, enter and hopefully the wins will come your way! good luck! :):)

p.s. most organisations will say if they divulge your info to third parties and most have a box to tick if you don't want them to do so.

I also am a fairly new newbie! Loads of great tips and information on this link so thanks for taking the time to help us find our way around. One question - How do you keep track of comps you have entered but have now expired? How do you remember them all?
posted 1-6-2009 @ 09:29 PM www

Hi Jazzer222 there is a report available on lottos that lists your comps entered (closed) if you have been ticking your comps entered as you go along.

Just click on 'User Control Panel' top right hand corner of screen and choose COMPS ENTERED (CLOSED)

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum & have only dabbled at comping but my mum gave me a book which suggested a club. Have been reading some tips you guys are quick. I'm really nervous but excited to have a go.

I mostly stick to the web comps but a girlfriend does the store comps and uses an a4 book and pastes receipts for comps with headings-she certainly keeps track ok!
posted 12-6-2009 @ 11:16 AM www

Hi linda1963 :)

Great idea of your girlfriend to keep a record of her entries but I would NOT recommend anyone 'paste' their receipts into a book. If you have a win and the Promoter request them, they will need to be sent in and in good condition. :)

Wow lots of tips. Thankyou. I dont think that im organised enough to keep all the barcodes etc before a comps even started.

TIP # 23

WHEN THERE ARE "IN STORE" COMPS; 'WIN AN ESKI IN THIS STORE' TYPE COMPS, THINK ABOUT GOING TO A SMALL TOWN VERSION OF THE STORE; EG IGA, AND IF YOU PEEK INSIDE THE IN-STORE BARREL THERE ARE SOMETIMES NO ENTRIES EVEN IN THERE; SO YOU ARE IN WITH A GOOD CHANCE !. I WON A BBQ THIS WAY, AND A JACKET. I BOUGHT THE ITEM, WROTE MY NAME ON THE RECEIPT; AND DROPPED IT IN THE BOX; MINE BEING THE ONLY ONE IN THE BOX AT THAT TIME. REMEMBER THE (?) KHUMO TYRES COMP. BUY A TYRE , DROP RECEIPT IN THE IN-STORE BARRELS, WHERE NO ENTRIES WERE PUT IN ANY BOX IN AUSTRALIA, AND THE 4X4 JEEP PRIZE WENT TO CHARITY !
