Help with pics emailed to me as adobe and I can't open

Can anyone help please, I have updated adobe and have had many emails though with pics attached that are in adobe and my pc wont open.

Even my own pics I saved to a cd are in adobe now and I cant open, I'm sure I havent changed any setting.

I am not very computer literate but I get by...this has just thrown me.

You have to have Windows Media Viewer installed. Go to the Windows site and have a look.
I think that may be the answer for you.

Right click on the picture and use the option 'Open with'.
When the new box comes up, select Windows media player/viewer or whatever the program is that you usually view your pictures through.
For some reason, all your pictures have 'defaulted' to the Adobe program, when they shouldn't be. Someone may have accidentally clicked something without realising.

Is that where I have been going wrong all these years misskittykat I never ever have a plan b. I just cross my fingers and everything else that plan a works. How wrong can you be. Doh

Ok..what I tried was restoring it back to 2 months ago....was that plan B LOL I thinks its worked, thanks so much for your help.

Glad it's worked out! Nothin' worse than when the old pc plays up, especially when all your pictures are on it. So much take in these days:)
And yes...pinky. You should always have a plan B and a plan C, juuuuuust in case:)
