My Winning Entry - $300 online shoe voucher
It was for a competition for Barefoot Tess http://www.barefoottess.com/category/who_is_tess which is a US on-line shoe store catering for the ladies who have feet sized 10 and over (I fall
into that catagory)
They had a comp where you had to tell, in 200 WOL, your most embarrasing shoe buying experience. Those who know me, know that red is my favourite
accessory colour and will be able to picture the following story.
This is my entry. Enjoy the giggle.
I had worn through another pair of sneakers and decided this time I would get my feet fitted properly. I arrived at the specialist store and made
myself comfortable amidst a pile of boxes and pairs of discarded shoes. A salesgirl attended to me and I tried on dozens of shoes. I wasn't happy
with the choices and time and time again she headed off to find something I might like.
During one such trip I leaned forward to get my bag and noticed a pair of shoes that I did not recognise as having tried on. They were my size, but
more importantly, they were red! I tried them on and they were so comfortable. I stood up and they didn't rub my heels. I looked down and I didn't
see any canoes. I had found them! I was so happy.
I stood up and walked over to the counter. You could not wipe the smile off my face.
Until she came out of the storeroom and told me I could not buy the shoes.
I was crushed and asked her why.
She looked embarrased as she told me they were the custom made shoes for their store mascot!!!
hee hee. I just got the email advising of the win, but had to confirm my address to provide I was an Australian citizen, so can't wait to get my
voucher

Thanks guys. I took a month off entering comps whilst I looked for work, and now that I have a part time job I started again last week. All in all -
a good month so far |

Good entry - years back I went shopping at lunchtime with a girlfriend who had big feet. She tried on any shoes they had in her size, finally she
found a pair she liked & that fitted her.
Then she said, "I'll have to get my Mother to come in & see what she thinks of them"  by then the salesgirl & me were ready to murder her |
