Hi I joined last week, have entered a couple of comps but find the whole site overwhelming and don't really know where to start. Im enjoying it but
need a bit of direction on which comps to start with as Im a real beginner. Thanks to anyone that can save me from my confusion. PS like to know what
all the icon faces mean. |

Hi lilynan.
It can be overwhelming at 1st. A friend told me that Lottos needs to have a mentoring system. Like a comping big sister...wish I had that when I
started!
Back then I looked around the Forum: Newbee Neighbourhood and there are pages and pages of threads for new compers.
I'll just share my favourite competition section:
Hover your mouse on the left hand side of the screen and a menu appears.
Find: Competitions closing in 10 days.
Then choose: excludes ineligible states
That way you aren't seeing comps that you can't enter for different states (and be jealous!).
By icon faces do you mean the Mark As section?
Green Tick - Entered
Yellow Question Mark - Follow up Later
Red Cross - Not Interested
Yellow Star - Mark as Favourite...to be honest I don't use but assume its for comps that are daily etc that you want to revisit again.
Circle - Cleared from List...won't show up any more on your lists.
Hope that helps darl. For a few days I thought I'm never going to get the hang of it but soon you'll be an old hand. Just can't stress how beneficial
it is to read those forums at the beginning. They are really helpful. And then go off and start entering. You never know you might have a talent for
25wol entries, you never know until you try.
Cheers and good luck. Lovabargain. |

Hi lilynan, I'm a newbie too this week. The best place to go to learn is the Newbie Neighbourhood. Just click on the link at the top of the page that
says : Just Joined? Welcome! Please CLICK HERE and Read This!
That's where I started and the advice is overwhelminly awesome!
By icons are you referring to the little yellow faces with different expressions? Those are emoticons that can be used to give an emotion or tone to a
post.
Good luck! |
