How much time is spent comping?
Hello everyone,
I was wondering how much time fellow lottos members spent comping in a average week? Do you find you work better with a schedule?
I have found when I spend 7+ hours a week, I have more wins. Of course, I have to fit the time in with work, family, etc.
Thanks

Hi ozmickey!
I comp when I have time, last week I spent probably 6 hours on one day, and then maybe another hour during the week. I find when I enter everything I
come away with a few wins, but if i'm working or have other commitments comping gets pushed to the side! Will be interesting to see what everyone has
to say on this one! |

I go through stages. but i do know one thing. The more I enter the more I win and the more I get better.
I am learning (albeit slowly) to choose my comps. I figure out the odds , value of prize, chances that people will enter (advertised in catalogue,
store, common prize want) and the cost to enter.
I enter for HOURS each day. At least 5 weekdays. and weekends when the kids go to their dad's.
Not having the postie turn up with a prize for weeks (withdrawal symptoms) gets me back into the addiction.
When I first saw Sherry on aca she said she enters 500 comps a week. I tried to do that and nearly collapsed! The house was a mess.
edit" she also said that only 1 in 100 wins. |

I only enter an hour a day and really must do more as i only win a few things. Love reading about the people here who win so much but they must work
hard
I am wondering when members say they can enter 100 or more a day is that 100 different competitions or multiple entries in some. That is an awful
lot to enter if they are all single ones. good luck to them for the effort wish i could motivate to do that |

I probably average about 3 hours a day. It's all in bits and pieces like when I'm feeding my son, little bits throughout the day and then an hour or
so on the laptop in front of the TV at night. I am a stay at home mum so can do bits and pieces throughout the day. My husband is a lot more tolerant
since I've had a few decent wins! |

I spurt high and lows,
been seriously slack for the last 2 months (went away and just lazy) had a break and it shows for i haven't won anything either LOL
normally when i get a nice win i get into comping big time and hooked.
its nice dangle a prize infront of me and off i go entering more and more
on average i would say a norm for me is around 20 hours a week ... (but this doesnt include shopping time and i go shopping with endless lists of what
to buy where ) |

My thoughts are multiple entries? Could be wrong, but there are not that many comps out there, ie 100 a day x 7 days = 700 for the week that I would
be either eligible ( state specific ) or in a lot of cases afford to enter.
I would enter maybe 30 odd comps a week these days, which is a lot more than I ever used too, but I do have more time. I'd be in big trouble if my
average was 1 win per 100 though.
Just do what you want, whenever. What works for some will not suit others. I have a very short attention span, so entering the same comps daily and
spending hours on them just isn't for me. Good luck finding your happy medium! |

I hate to think how many hours I spend a week comping!
I only work two days a week, so I spend around 5 hours a day 4 days a week - so I guess around 20 hours. One day I'm going to have to write it all
down and see if it's all worth it LOL. Though - since I admit to my addiction - I probably wouldn't stop anyway |

I am afraid I must have a serious addiction! I probably comp about 6-8 hours a
day (mostly nights) when things are quiet, and as I don't have a husband or boyfriend to entertain- I can do what I like! and I just happen to love
comping! yippee! |

You've given me a great idea heldige1. We already have a Prize Exchange. Why not a Dating Service where you can put up a Wanted ad for a fellow
single comper looking to get together for coffee during Gloria Jeans promotions, go shopping together (comping shop that is), go to the movies
together (to use up those free passes), and have lovely home cooked meals together (based on comp products of course)!

Since the kids have started school both full time, I started a routine of working in the morning then comping after work. Today I just found out I was
accepted into uni so now my routine will be out the door.
I feel a bit uneasy about that as Im in a comfort zone and I love comping but I think I will just have to fit it in during my break and when I need
some me time.
Have to make the most of all the free time now and comp as much as possible LOL

I was off work for 8 weeks following surgery and really got into the comping as I was pretty well bed ridden. During that time I entered everything I
thought looked good and some others as well. I got up to 250 comps entered during that time...that is individual comps - some of them with multiple
entries
Now I am back at work it is just an hour or so each night in front of the news and a bit more if I can. I couldn't believe it on 1 June when my comps
entered dropped from 214 to 145 in one day!! That is what the end of the month will do for you.
I have won several little prizes but still waiting for a triptrip or cashcash. I must admit to being a little addicted - is that like being a little
pregnant??? |

I spend atleast 5 hours a day doing this, and others stuff as well.
On big full on days I will enter anywhere from 50 - 100 comps in one single day, so it is full on. But I try to get at least into 50 comps a day.
I have done this for the last few years and won 10's of thousands in prizes,.....2 cars, laptops, 1 Giant tv screen, holidays etc and more. Keep at it
and you will get better and see some fantastic results.
But I can say this, the harder you work, the more you stay positive the more you win without a doubt.
Good luck to you, and MAZELTOV!!! |

I dont work, have no kids and hubby is a truck driver so rarely home. I do about 1 1/2 hours in the morning, while having breaky etc. Then i hit the
housework, then about 2 hours over my lunch. i do the afternoon stuff, including getting dinner ready, takes me to about 4 when i hit the computer
again til he gets home (about 5.30), he's in bed by 7, so i comp again until 11ish...at the moment I'm suffering chronic pain so it takes my mind off
it a bit. |

Love it Smiley , at least they would know what they were in for but I doubt we have enough males here who aren't already taken .Don't mind the cooking
bit as long as he is good at it .
I have been on here since 9am , a few meal breaks & down to the mail box , have posted a few comps today , lost track of how many I've entered
.There are a lot of sites you go to for 1 comp & find several more there so enter them too .
Have a bit of chit chat & forget to enter any store comps for the 2nd day in a row .In all it has been a great day , won $600 on a FB comp
yesterday , got a CD I really wanted to win turn up in the mail today so been a good week really .
I have a good excuse for no house work other than basics , have found termites in what was my comping /craft room now everything that was in there is
spread between my b'room & the small combined dining /lounge so can't get at much & no idea how long it will take housing to get it fixed ,
the pest inspecter found them in the roof too , told them the huge gum tree about 12 ft from my back door but in next yard was going to cause problems
.
