25WOL LOSERS

25WOL LOSERS

After flogging the 25 WOL comps hard in the last couple of months I'm almost ready to give up the hunt. Would greatly appreciate some feedback on my entries from lottoers. Needless to say I thought they were great! But the judges decided otherwise and starting to get peeved. Have been practicing for years (well before joining Lottos) and dont seem to be getting any better cause I've never won once - EVER! Have taken on board all advice I can find on Lottos and tried to put to good use so thanks heaps to everyone for helping. Maybe at least some of you will get a laugh out of them, that's almost like a win;)

Over the Hedge - What character are you most like and why?
Never one to plan the day,
I'm really so much like RJ,
Forever getting into strife,
But that's the way I love my life!

Baby monitor - Why do you want to win this baby monitor?
Only premium for baby will do,
Unequalled Phillips quality too,
Hearing him breathing regardless how light,
Relieved feeling near,
Even though out of sight.

Years worth of groceries (So Good) - Why do you enjoy the new taste of So Good?
No more disguising with chocolatey sweets,
My kids now drink litres,
A healthy new treat,
They no longer tell me "It tastes like concrete!"
(I did like popetta's winner though)

Plasma TV - Why are you the biggest socceroo fan?(Ralph mag - from hubbies name)
I finally made it,
My dream's coming true!
My Wife's up the duff,
With a boy, number two,
I'm making a champion,
My own Socceroo!

My favourite - and still cant believe I didnt win this one, thought it was a gem!
Win $1000, Why do you prefer Carefree G-string pantyliners?
(I think that was the question?)
Light as a feather,
Not bulky like some,
And best of all yet,
They don't stick to my bum!

Have always done spell/grammer check on all entries and ensured under/at 25 wol - some of the above may be slightly different to actual entries as I didn't write down final copy after draught. I have another I entered yesterday but dont want to post it yet incase I sabotage myself. But again think its a beauty! Well at least I amuse myself sometimes:D

I reckon they are all winners, sondrio, but who am I to say. My 25wol's don't often win either. I don't think some judges like rhymes, but then popetta's entry was a rhyme, wasn't it. Just don't give up, change some of your favourites around and try them on another comp. Eventually you will be in the right place at the right time.:)

feedback on the 25 wol's

agree they are all great

recently went to a prize draw which I could not post on here due to it's late announcement, anyhow
the entries they picked were completely sad, when they read the answers aloud i just sat there going "HUH"???!!
1 of the entries the company knew the person
and all of the entries were from a particular region which i found quite odd

i do believe often they aren't read and can never tell what judges are looking for
keep at it and most of all have fun ;)

popetta & sondrio - nothing wrong with those at all, but I guess if quite a few people are writing excellent answers then it's just the luck of the judge's choice on the day!! What can u do?...KEEP ENTERING!

AND-1WON - that's not cricket is it? Why would they KNOW the person? Sounds suss to me, and is very discouraging.

great entries:):):):):):):):)
but if all the entries are great ,what then!!!!!
i'd hate to be a judge;);););););););););)
keep going with entries like that can't be much longer:):):):)
good luck:):)

Sondrio, I liked your entries, the were great. I think there are such a lot of good entries that it needs to be an absolute stand out entry to get yourself a winner these days.
I reckon, keep trying ,and go for broke to catch the judges eye with something really different.:cool:

Sondrio I am still cracking up over the Carefree one!!!!!
That was great!!!

Keep at it, they're all great, lots of entries and only a few winners, it all depends on the judge, just kep putting them in there and you'll get rewarded eventually.

Comiserations Sondrio! I know how it is to put one's gems of entries in and to have them snubbed by ill educated judges!

Keep on trying, as we all do, in the hope that our high quality entries will educate said judges into making better choices.

In any case, let us continue to recycle the fantastic entries until a worthy judge recognises their superb unique qualities and rewards us with riches beyond belief!

Trust me, if I started a thread with my pathetic losers, no one would be able to find time to submit a winning entry again!

And I love all my entries as only a mother could! :)

Keep at it and good luck! :)

Thought they were all great , just a matter of what the judge is looking for on the day ,bit of a worry what And_1WON said , I have entered a few in the past week that were draws so really is just a matter of luck or getting to know a few judging panels , but most of all , keep at it ,that's all I'm doing .Put them in & forget about it .

Thought they were great..

I've never won on a 25wol either, but they are quite good fun to do (Im a sucker for punishment.. but I actually get a great deal of satisfaction when I do one that I think is a pearler)

Who knows if the judges even read them, I think sometimes they must just pick out say 20 envelopes and then pick the best out of those 20

and as said already, who knows what the judge is after, what may tickle one's fancy may not another.

Keep going, I'm sure with entries like that you'll crack a big un soon.

good luck to you and all our fellow compers!

You will win one soon with that talent!

I agree they're great entries, just keep doing what you're doing.

without saying which specific business it was, it was for a bank

here's to the judges that read the entries and go for creativity, wit, humour, originality etc...
must be hard to judge with the entries i read on here all so good;)

Def no losers there - all potential winners I'd say! :)
Keep it up - they are excellent.

This was my non winning entry for the baby monitor comp. I can't remember the exact wording but it was something like this.
Why do you want to win a baby monitor?

Dr said "time to loose weight"
so a monitor with 200m range is great
while baby rests his little head
I can exercise in the shed.

Well done Sondrio :)

Great 25 WOL entries .... don't be discouraged.

I'm sure a lot of 25WOL comps are either simply drawn or only a small percentage of the total number of entries considered for judging.

We are also up against some stiff competition and you never know what the judges are looking for!

Mind you, the ones I have won, I am convinced were 'judged' LOL

Thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions and encouragement, I greatly appreciate the boost. Will keep persevering and hope that elusive win falls my way soon. Goodluck to everyone on their entries too, good to know the effort is paying of for some of us! :):D;)

I think your entries are good!

Here is one of my non-winning entries for a tangerine kitchenaid toaster with Ritz chips.

Boy would I be a boaster,
If I won a tangerine toaster,
Down with white toasters,
They are the pits!
Thanks to KitchenAid and Ritz!

I adore these non winnning entries, I love how brilliant they are. I am astounded at them not winning.
One wonders exactly what does win sometimes.

Please use these again, surely a Judge would see they are great entries

AND GOOD LUCK

They're great Sondrio. I did a great rhyme for the Carefree Barely There liners as well. But, wasn't too be.:( (I think the winning one was better than mine, though.)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an
attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming
WOO HOO what a ride!

2006-$23411 + 2007-$69842 + 2008-$38712 + 2009-$20781 + 2010-$25344 = $178090

I very rarely enter 25wols and having read all of those I remember why, mine stink.
I only ever won one, a DVD player..the question was something like what is your perfect evening at home and I said
"Just hubby and me
some wine, a DVD
Not a kid in sight
My kind of night"

Have no idea how that won after reading some of the others here.

Very happy to update that my Carefree "Loser" actually turned out to be a winner!! Just took a long time to get the good news so just assumed I didnt win. Got the chq today (previously posted the win in winners circle a few weeks ago though) with only a couple of months to spare till the baby is due so really good timing! Now I can fill his wardrobe with cute little clothes and lots and lots of nappies!!!
Thanks again to everyone and this just proves that you just never know and dont give up!:):D:)
