Tivo comp WOL entry
Now that the close date has passed, I can share my 250 WOL entry for the Tivo competition.......it's drawn tomorrow, so I have my fingers and toes
crossed!
The question was....250 WOL..."If I had a Tivo, my life would change because............."
This was my entry:
“If I had a Tivo, my life would change because…..
I could go to the loo, and put live TV on pause!
I could go and make a cuppa, and still have peace of mind,
That if I miss some of my show, I can just rewind!
If there’s a certain actor, that I cannot resist,
I will never miss his movies, thanks to Tivo’s wishlist.
And if I find a series, that really is first class,
I can record every episode with Tivo’s Seasons Pass.
From Blockbuster, I could download the movie of the week,
Because to operate a Tivo, I don’t have to be a geek!
If I go away on holidays, no matter where, world-wide,
I could program my Tivo to tape something, with Yahoo’s online guide.
There’d be horoscopes, weather, games, music and photos.
Tivo does so many things, it’s not just for taping shows.
There are programs that I’d prefer, my children didn’t see,
So with Kidzone and Parental Controls, I’d be worry-free!
With ‘Thumbs-up’ and ‘Thumbs-down’ buttons, to rate the shows I like best,
Tivo learns my preferences and chooses programs to suggest!
A TV guide that stays up-to-date, with a connection to the net,
Add the home networking package, and we will be all set!
So you see, if we win this Tivo, with it’s two hard drives,
It would be the best prize in the world, and REALLY change our lives!!!!!”

thx guys........I am very proud of the WOL, but there was also 6 other challenges, involving taking photos and dressing up, so it will also depend on
how they think I went with them.

Terrific entry rpolly - the judges obviously did not have such good taste and superior literary discernment as us lot!!!! Hopefully they're just slack. Yes, I think I glanced at this & thought anyone
who jumps through these hoops deserves to win.

Oh rpolly.
I didnt win but my entry wasnt anywhere near as creative as yours.
I cant believe you didnt get a look in
Maybe it was a barrell draw after all
If I was a judge regardless of the photos

Well, just received the phone call.......I was one of the ten runners-up for a $100 discount off the purchase of a Tivo
