phone/sms comp tip

Recently, i started putting 55c into a piggy bank everytime i entered either a phone or sms comp.. so that when when the bill arrives i am covered and i have to think before i enter..it's made paying that bill at the end of the month a lot easier:D

Thanks psych, that's a great idea!!! I started writing down all my calls but I think seeing the money pile up in a jar would be a much better indicator plus then I could actually afford to pay my bill ;) ;) ;)

You can also get a Telstra card from Australia Post, that will let you pay $25 off each time.
Makes a difference to the phone bill, if you pay it off in small bits.

has anyone used a Phonecard from Take 5 to make 1900 calls.

I have 3 x $5.00 cards to use .

I just tried a 1900 number using a $10 Telstra card I won...it said "sorry this number is not available from this service"

Would have been nice to use for comps:(

Such a simple but great idea psyche, I would be terrible at keeping it in the jar if I was looking for small change though, seems my teenage kids always need what small change I have for busfares etc. My jar would need to be totally hidden! lol

Every pay day I go to the PO and pay a certain amount off my phone bill. Hopefully when the bill arrives I've paid enough to cover the 1900 calls.:o

If you pay your bills online, you can pay small amounts anytime :) (bpay) Though I do think they need to be amounts of $5 and over.
