How to win this competitions?

I've never been great at them. My English result always fail. But lately I've been looking at creative writing and my mind has been going blank, can't think of a thing to write sometimes. I never won any of the creative writing contest.

Telling them in not less than 100 words why you deserve to win this limited edition Disney Netbook by Asus.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

That the problem, I don't even know how to start writing. I write until I had a lot of grammar and vocabulary mistakes. I even look at other people entries, still don't have a clue on how to write.

Some people even don't know what I am writing about.

Thanks frunue.

Try this link for translating your language into English and then check if you think the translation looks alright.

There might be better translation sites than this one.

bluedragon, I can't help you with your creative writing, but would be more than happy to help you with your grammar and vocab. It's an area I am good in, if I do say so myself. If you want to take me up on the offer, u2u me and we can exchange email addresses.

Bluedragon that is a lovely offer by Dink :) I was going to suggest you ask someone to proof read your answer for you.

Thank everyone.

Can Give guideline or example.

Well you either give it a go regardless or you do the other sorts of comps that don't need creative writing skills - they are heaps of them still.
I doubt any-one will write an answer for you.
Your post here is not incoherent or spelt horrendously & at least you use punctuation...so I can't imagine it could be too bad.
I think I manage to write reasonably good answers and even great ones but I RARELY win, so it's just really difficult and probably has little to do with your literacy skills although obviously they're not going to choose an answer they can't make head not tail of.
When you've written your answer, give it to some-one else to read over & help you with if you think it might ramble or make no sense.
When you write something you must always look at what you've written from another person's side who will be reading it...what you think you might have expressed they might have no idea of, so read it & think, will some-one else understand what I'm trying to say????????
I have understood what you've been saying so far.
Do you speak the same way you write?
Do you read over what you have written? e.g. your sentence "I never won any of the creative writing contest." would be better if it had an "s" on the end of contest. I'm sure you don't say that when you speak...so, "I never win any of the creative writing contests" is probably what you'd say, so that's what you need to write, or competitions as they're not really contests they're competitions.
Does that help?
:):)
Good on ya Dink!!! :)

Good on you Dink - that's nice of you to offer.

I have read what I write, it seem ok to me but other people always say what are you writing.

Looking through the forum they said had to be humor and rhyme. I am not good at humor or rhyme.

Well there's absolutely hundreds and hundreds of comps bluedragon that do not require you to write any answers at all that are your own composition, so just stick to those and see how you go.

Start with the section that says "All Comps ending in 10 days or less EXCLUDING WOL" & wade through those, because it's a section just for people who don't like writing answers...here it is

Good Luck.

I also want to choose comps that does not need writings. But only this comps can win the prize I want.

The prizes I want, all need writing comp.

Lucky Draw has the prize I want, Enter many time, but never win before.

PS: I am not from Australia. I found this forum by chance.

So are you actually IN Australia as aresident here? - because if not, you wont be able to enter most of them anyway as the huge majority will state that you have to be a resident of Australia.

I am not resident in Australia, just searching website to find ways to win comps in my country. And I find this forum.

bluedragon best to read the terms & conditions well before you even think about entering a comp , kismet is so right , most will say you HAVE to be an Australian resident .

What country are you from bluedragon, because I could only help you with the English language!! :P:D:P I regret I'm not multi-lingual.

I wonder why you actually need to word your competition entries in English, if you are entering them in your own country...where they speak your language?
posted 20-8-2009 @ 12:29 PM www

Yes, I agree frunue, you would be able to write your own language fluently I imagine bluedragon. We all write our own answers here be they good, bad or indiiferent.

It means you have to use a minimum of 100 words in your answer. Not less than 100 words - means at least 100 words or more than 100 words.
