Be a local hero Winning entry
In 100 WOL Who you want to nominate, Why you think they should recieve the $5000 and How they would use the donation?
My entry also had hand painted (watercolour and ink) cartoonish chickens and Old folk walking frames, false teeth etc...
I nominate the old folks
of Andrews House Aged Care.
A wonderful group of elderly citz.’s,
Who deserve a ‘Mc helpful’ share?
A chicken coop is what they want,
They have plans all passed and drawn.
All they need is money to build,
It’s marked out on the lawn.
With modern standards to be met,
The shire fees, sundry and such,
Cake raffles and knitted rug sales,
Won’t build this simple hutch.
So...
The cackle of the broody hen,
The smell of fresh laid hay.
A chicken coop will make their home
Like their HOME was yester-day.

Jed dog. Its clear to see that you would've won without the cartoons attached. This is a great entry and it's nice to hear that the money is going to
be used for something so important. With all the eggs that will be laid Im sure there'll be plenty of cakes baked at Andrews house. |
