Haven't tried it yet but it looks pretty. |

We tried it today with an Ikea pre made pieces. What a disaster! Most of them were broken and so then that it was impossible to stick them together.
We ended up using the pieces and making a flat picture on a tray- one of a rocket and one of a Christmas tree. The kids still had fun and we had icing
suggar in many colours from one end of the kitchen to the other |

Oh god I am so 'gingerbread-housed out' if that is a true term!! i have been running kids craft classes from home over a couple of years and last
year's gingerbread house icing class was great fun. Got too busy to organise any this year, so was going to give it a miss...till my 11 year old told
me all her friends wanted to do it again and could I make some flyers to advertise them again this year. So, feeling in the christmas spirit, I did.
THen, had 20 kids book in! ! so, I had 2 sessions yesterday, and another two to run on Thursday. Baked 10 houses on Saturday and another 10 today
ready to assemble for Thursday's classes. The house stinks of gingerbread!
Still, it's all in good fun(and makes me some money too!), and the kids take home a big gingerbread house that they have decorated, complete with
gingerbread reindeer, trees and bushes. Roll on christmas so I can relax!! |
