A few of my entries in recently closed/drawn comps...

Slow and ponderous with a big bottom,
Sounds pretty ordinary yet,

The above entry was for some videos at <b>[delete this please, site not allowed]</b> but I have never seen winners posted.
"My husband's a movie buff,
He really thinks he does it tough,
The video has all clapped out,
The speakers really give him nowt
but heartache.
He dreams of surround sound,
Play it hard, play it loud,
Everything from sci-fi and action,
to Teletubbies and Fimbles attraction,
Oh, and cake."
A comp at Sony for a home theatre system. I'm not quite sure where my head was on re-reading this one! LOL

Nothing to do with 25 worders, but I had to laugh upon reading one of the lines from your TNCC entry, as we often refer to our boy & girl as Errol
& Beryl Feral.

Love that elephant- it could be me you are talking about there!!
I think this is what I wrote as a winner in the 15 wol AWW Thai Cookbook comp last month
"The Kids would love to have a try
At cooking Mum and Dad some Thai!"
Even though they ask for 15wol on the entry the T&C's are a bit obscure about whether it is judged or a draw, I thought this was a pretty
ordinary effort and it won and in the past I thought I had done much better and not won!! who knows, unfortunately, now that we have the book my
husband is expecting me to actually cook from it

Why didn't they win ???
The entries above are great !. When you consider what DOES win sometimes ; things like "You can afford a Ford' , it can be quite
annoying !!. Keep it up.
(PS I am posting my own 25 wol AFTER the comps are drawn from now on on advice from more senior compers !.) |

Thanks for sharing your entries - it's great to read what others write, especially as I am yet to win from a 25wol.

here's another loser :)
I entered this for the fossil watch comp.
I think the question was why do you want to win a fossil watch?
coz i envision fashion with a passion for precision and fossil style on my dial is a cool and wild provision.
I thought it was ok! But sometimes I wonder if all 25wd comps are judged on merit or if they are just entered into a draw...? |

My winning entry for a keyring sized digital camera. This was the first 25 word or less comp I had entered, Im hooked now lol.
the question was "why would a compact applicator tampon be of advantage to you" or something like that.
Rockin in the moshpit,
no place for a bag.
Whats a girl to do when shes on her rag?
