I wonder about that as well.
i won a comp last year (before joining Lottos) I rang and entered about an hour before it closed.
I only saw the comp that evening
They rung me 2 days later to say that I had won!
Good for me as I am always running late with everything

i recon they are drawn. my daughter won a trip with WOL to meet Justin Bieber. There are SOOOOOOO many crazy young girls 1000,s who would have entered
that, so there is no way they would have read all the girls entrys.
and, she entered the day before because we only just discovered it, and they called the next day to say she won. The last entered...always the first
drawn i say. |

I think in some comps they draw a small amount of entries and then judge them, thereby they can still say they're judged. That would explain why
excellent answers don't win because they weren't read in the first place.
But what is happening in the pepsi maxit comp is anyone's guess. |

All but one winning email I have received from a WOL comp, has been from a female marketing/promotions manager type person - so I've basically come to
the conclusion that the majority of 25WOL judges are women, from their late 20s to 40s haha |

I have won a few prizes from urbancinefile and they actually publish the judges favourites, so obviously read them, and they don't seem to like
rhymes. |

Me too mamamarg! I never rhyme my WOL, because personally I just find them too corny (but that's just me) and I've had nothing but success in my WOL
that don't rhyme! |

I use alot of rhyme, basically because I'm no good at witty one liners lol I
have won a few WOLs, about 6 or 7. I've only been comping since June last year. I have more luck if there's more than one or two prizes on offer. For
example The Good Guys had a FB comp last year where you could win weekly prizes for 3 or 4 weeks running. There were a lot of prizes to win (300 -
400) each time, and I won two. I try to put a bit of humour in my WOL, and also strictly keep to the word/character limit and check spelling and make
sure it makes sense. Also I have found that if I put too much time into my WOL and try too hard, I don't win but if it's something I come up with
quickly I do. |
