How to Win WOL's in 2013

posted 25-2-2013 @ 04:32 PM www

I do "enter and forget" so well that when I do win and they comment about my entry I have to confess I have completely forgotten what I wrote!

I enter only a few a year, I put in a huge amount of time and effort every entry, I never forget and wait with baited breath for the date of judging, I rhyme and do poetry frequently, I obsess and dream about the win, I share to a point of driving fellow LOTTOS members mad. Maybe I am not doing it right but then again what IS RIGHT. I know one thing for sure... I have loved every single holiday I have one over the past seven years and look forward to some more as soon as I finish Uni and start entering again. JD

I have won two trips, one was unlimited words and one was a really lame rhyme written late one night when I was really tired and JUST about the turn off the computer, glad I didn't!!

Despite what they say in the terms, most comps are just trying to get around paying a fee. When you find your lame entry has won (as I have), it's really just a random org pick. No one can ever prove what happened in the office when the draw occurred...

I mostly do holiday WOL. At Uni at the moment so have not entered ANYTHING for around 18 months, no time to put the effort in I normally do for a win. My WOL are nearly always 3 things;
1. Rhyme
2. Suck up to the promotion or the brand.
3. CREATIVE, ARTY, MAIL-IN
Uni is nearly over for me which is a good thing as we have run out of holidays and I am feeling like a good trip come the end of this year....LOL!

Hahahahahahaha...love it, brilliant!!

Whatever comes into my head, some rhyme some are serious some have definitely been influenced by a glass of champagne...my crazy family and friends inspire me... and some of them are the ones who say "I don't know what I'd write about" if only they knew !!!!!!!

I keep all my entries in my notes now after I had one very deserving competition...pick my entry and ask me if "personal experience had helped me write such an inspiring entry"....I think that experience might have been the second glass of champagne I imbibed that night...because I had total amnesia about what I wrote .... but ever the lottoer I rambled on and covered my b*m!

I have a word document with all my winning wols (or others that I think are good, pull them out when I have a similiar competition question and just mould them to fit (sucking up to the company seems to get me a lot of wins). A lot of wols are drawn except for the one entry ones so I put more time into these. Enter enter and move on.

I've won 3 overseas trips and 3 interstate trips with WOLs in the last 3 years. Most I've rhymed but some have been straight answers. Mostly they have been funny or witty and one was a blatant suck up to the brand. Like jeddog if the prize is a holiday I usually work on the answer for ages.
Oh by the way, I've missed out on plenty too! So keep plugging away!

I hit something they liked (not a rhyme) to win a coffee machine and won 4 this year with the same WOL, different companies. I wish I could do it for a Cruise!

Prize wins 2014: $37680
Prize wins 2011: $13000
previous years about $25000

The harder you work the luckier you get

dminchy WOL is an abbreviation for 'words or less'.....................where you have to enter via a written answer usually 25 words or less.
