Woolies/mars sms fuel vouchers hints

I have had heaps of u2u's regarding my wins on this comp, so I thought I would put a thread up on what I have been doing to win.
This is for anyone who may be too shy to message me ;) for info and also it is always great to hear others getting wins.

Firstly, this is the first sms comp that I have tried and I seem to be very lucky on it. So I am no expert on the laws of timing or such, if there is any, but this is what is working for me, so I will stick with it.

I have been using the normal and king size mars wrappers, for most of my wins. Out of 22 wins, 14 have been the normal mars bars, 4 in the king size and 2 in the king size twix. Forget the fun size mars, they are invalid.

All times I list are in Perth time, so if you want to follow, keep that in mind.

Weekends seem to have more wins. Over half of mine have been on the weekend, with Sunday being better (mother's day was a corker) :LOL

Between 10.30-10.45am Sat & Sun I get a win each time.
Early evenings between 5-7pm
Just before, after and on the hour and also the same for the half hours.(working on a 5min time frame each side)
Around the midnight mark.

Then I will throw some in at odd times, like odd minutes past the hour or to the hour (9.18, 2.47 so on)

All making sense yet :o

I've worked out that I have spent nearly $200 on calls, but have won up to now $1100. in vouchers, so the way I look at it is the more you send the better odds of winning.
You need to decide whether you want to just hope you get 1 or 2 wins on a low outlay, or push for more wins on a higher outlay.

I would average around 4 calls per hour, some hours I will double that, others less, depending on if the kids are home with me, I am alone or I am out and about.

There seems to be no limit that you can win on your phone, most have been on mine with a couple on my husbands.

I also make sure I have a 'winning' bag, that I can put my wrappers in when I win, so I know that I have the right ones, when crunch times comes. I also keep all my winning and replied sms's as well. I think if you have more than a couple of wins, they will be demanding your codes.

I think I have remembered everything, if not I will add to this. Any Q's, or something does not make sense, message me or post here and I will get back to you and help as much as I can. Also, if the above does not work for you, please do not hate me:( , but if it does ;);)

Good Luck:D:D

Thanks moody, don't know how it got into the winners circle, but I did U2U WP, asking her to shift it, so thanks for doing it.

They will ask you for a barcode for each entry you made not just the winning entries as per the T&Cs

so you will need about 400 barcodes to claim your prizes :o:o:o

Thanks for sharing twinmacs. I won 2 last night. I didn't go on any timings just decided to have a shot as I saw you on the winning circle so much.

When the comp started I won zilcho and must have spent $10 and decided to ditch it. Last night I thought what the heck and gave it a go....

The only thing I am thinking is...what if these vouchers have a use by date on them???

Seriously...... be careful on entering so much, they may ask for a barcode for each and every entry (as is their right by T''s and C's) and many members are doing the right thing and entering as per the conditions of the T''s and C's - one entry per purchase.

Sometimes tricky - u spend $4 on a multipack and get one entry - yet 2 weeks ago $1 per Mars Bar at Woolies = 4 entries for the same $4.

No lecture just well intentioned advice in the positive spirit of comping!

If you ring the helpline they enter your mobile number in and can see every entry made.. So yes be careful put those packets in a very safe place.

Mars only 79c at my Woolies today - just brought an extra 9 - but not having much luck!

I might have to ring them then.

As my husband bring heaps of wrappers home from work and family and friends give me theirs, I don't have to buy each one I enter.

I have been throwing all the no go wrappers in the bin if they don't win. Please don't say I had to keep the loosing ones too:(

GREATLY appreciate your friendly advice!!!

"No lecture just well intentioned advice in the positive spirit of comping!"

Could not have said it better myself
Cheers!

Besides they keep records on numbers people are entering, households etc...

Big Brother is always watching and recording when it comes to information entered re comps

How do you think Marketing Companies get their info to target their markets??????

Cheers!

Have a great night!

I am sure that Twinmacs has all the mars bar packets to cover her entries...just like those people who bought all that Skyy vodka to cover all theirs.:D:D:D

I don't think she has anything to worry about. As if they would bother requesting all the wrappers... ;)

MOH just got home and I told him we should have kept the loosing wrappers and he looked like this :o

As I said to him, if they pay they pay, if not, well we did have fun doing it.
Anyway, it is going to be a slow weekend, he only bought two wrappers home and I only have about 5 or so left here (which I will not throw out)

Great to hear others are having some wins and appreciate all comments :)

i'm confused, you said something about the codes, i thought to win the fuel vouchers from Woolies, you only needed to send the last 6 digits of the barcode

Yeah i bought 4 today at woolies @ 79 cents

YOu would think that posting this comp in the first place I could win one of these stupid vouchers!!!!
Well I gave up about 2 weeks ago cos I got nothing!!!!!!!!!!
But after reading your helpful tips maybe I will try again.
I'm really happy some people are having luck on this annoying comp.
