WOL comps...is answering the question that is asked, actually important?

posted 3-3-2020 @ 12:09 AM www

YES! Every WOL comp I have ever won answered the question. One I won a few years back for a very large prize was with a magazine...they said they had over 4,000 entries and read every one. I don't see the point in NOT answering the question.

Years ago, before internet, I won a major holiday competition featured in a magazine. As well as writing 25 words you also had to identify certain places that were pictured. I asked the promoter how I was chosen as the winner. I was told there were 11,000 entries. The promoter would pull an entry out of the bag until (let's say, he) found an entry that had identified all the pictures correctly and written 25 words that he liked. I knew I had identified all the pictures correctly so I purchased 14 magazines and entered 14 times, with different 25 word sentences. I don't know which of my sentences was chosen or how many times he went into the bag. I don't think it was many.
