Coles KitchenAid promotion offers free cookware to shoppers

The supermarket giant is launching its “most exciting” collectables range, partnering with an expensive cookwear brand in a freebie promotion.

Just like with the supermarket’s previous collectable ranges, including the ColesMasterChef knives and the picnicwear, shoppers will earn one credit for every $20 spent in a transaction, both in store and online.

The exclusive cookware collection is made up of a mini cocotte, 15cm bowl, a small, medium and large baker with bamboo lid, 29cm pie dish, and a 22cm cast iron casserole pot that is safe for use with ovens and stoves, gas or induction.

Each piece also has an eco-friendly bamboo lid – except for the cast iron pot – that can be used to store food after cooking.

The collection starts from 26 credits for a mini cocotte and peaks at 150 points for the cast iron pot, which KitchenAid sell similar versions of for $499.95.

So you have to spend $3000 on groceries to get the $500 pot....

Easy when you have a big family like I do. Also they have lots of items that give bonus points, so $3,000 would be the maximum spend if you don't purchase any bonus credit items at all. For my family, just looking at the following list of 10 brands, we already purchase 5 of these.
I love the Coles promotions. Way better than plastic toy figurines.

Starts Wednesday, 2nd March.

"Bonus credits can be earned by purchasing one of the 37 participating brands, including Bega, Leggo’s, Chobani, Old El Paso, Finish, Airwick, Colgate, Nescafe, Wellness Road and Continental ranges."

Although they say this starts on 2nd March, you can earn credits already. I was just checking my receipt from 24 Feb and see that I earned 4 credits already. Wish I noticed earlier.

I always participate in these and I don't shop any different than I normally do and I still manage to get a couple of items. I split my shopping over Coles and Woolies dependant on who has the best points offers and always shop at Woolies at least once a month to get my 10% discount for having a woolies prepaid phone and I still manage to get something on the promotions usually a couple of items. It is always a nice bonus and I loved the knives and the frypans.

I nearly got the plastic utensils which are not part of the part of the promotion nor are the oven mitts. I wonder how many people did not read the T&C and paid for them.

Heads up. Tomorrow is the last day to collect points (Tue, 7 June), but you have until the 21 June to redeem points, while stocks last.
