The calibre of 25wol entries

No wonder I didn't win the Real Living Domayne competition.

Check the winning entry - the shoes - and the runners up.

So what did they ask? I don't even remember this comp and couldn't find it when I searched.

Surely they must have asked for more than 25wols!

Frankly, good luck to them and their creativity. But it must limit the number of comps they enter!

Perhaps I should try focussing more on quality than quantity! LOL

WOW!!! Very impressive :)

I'd love to see the comp t&cs if anyone comes across them :)

Anyone on Lottos going to take credit for any of the entries? That guy sure looks familiar .....

Well done! My favourite is the shoes!!!!!

Real Living magazine had a comp that finished in November to win everything from Domayne on their front cover - coupon was required and the 25 worder was tell us I like to shop at Domayne because?

Prize was valued at about $15,000

Thanks RB

Looks like some of them incorporated the cover into their creations. Very clever :)

And I thought my 3D Grand Piano was impressive ......

So why are some of the entries the same as each other? - 2 pairs of shoes - must be from the same entrant and the last 2 are nearly exactly the same. WHO/WHAT won? Did any of these win?

(I presume they all had a 25WOL answer attached to their creations or is it like the others like Quiksilver & Oroton where everyone just does what they feel like & wins anyway)

(RAD I think your grand piano would have been more relevant to home decorating than a pair of shoes...did it also play The Moonlight Sonata!!!???)
;)

I think they're multiple photos of the just a few entries...rather discouraging the amount of time some people spend on one entry!!

Oh, I didn't enter this one Kismet! The 3D piano was my singular attempt at being 'creative' for a comp after the Quiksilver comp! It took absolute ages to make and I was surprised at how well it turned out. It didn't play Moonlight Sonata ... but I thought about it!!!!

I won't mention which comp it was, in case a Lottoer won it because despite my efforts (or may be because of them), from the winning entry I suspect the Promoter ended up doing a draw!!!!! Serves me right LMAO

Funny you mentioned the Quiksilver comp. That's who the guy in the box reminded me of ;)

I still love the shoes :) Maybe the 25 worder ties them into the answer. Does anyone know which was the winning entry?

OMG - is this what we have to do to win the 25wol now?

Do you think they were judged solely on their creative entry or still judged on the 25wol to go with it?

anyone going to email Domayne and ask them about the comp?

Beejay I think the same. Is this what I have to do to win a 25 wol now?????????

I think they are fantastic entries, but they are scaring me off even bothering with 25 wol.

my hopes and dreams of winning anymore 25 wol are slowly going down the toilet!!

:P

i don't have a problem with being creative... but man I never have the TIME!!

No, no Tye not the Quiksilver comp!!!! :P aggghhhh

That's funny RAD - just when you get creative the promoters don't want to know about it - never mind. That's an interesting observation RAD re the entry for Domaine...must be a speciality!! ;)

I'm interested to know WHEN entrants know that it's ok to enter with these kind of entries e.g Quiksilver and this one - perhaps they ring the promoter & ask. I still personally think, although I do not want to start WW3 again, that when it says 25WOL it should be based on 25WOL...otherwise it should STATE that creative, artistic models, artwork etc can be submitted.

Agree with kismet & others - IF they ask for JUST 25 WORDS OR LESS, if people send in a painted elephant, - even IF it does have 25 wol on it, well to me it is NOT SOLELY a 25WOL entry & should be disqualified. Ditto anyone who writes 26-30+ wol if it says 25wol.

If the competition wants elephants, free lollies, fancy shoes, man eating plants, or whatever well ok, BUT PLEASE say so in the T & C - otherwise someone could write the world's BEST 25wol & not win due to "creative, artistic, or I'm a graphic designer, etc." type of entry.

To me if they do what is NOT in the T & C they shouldn't win
- but if it says be creative, do anything you like type of entry, good luck to them, otherwise NO.

However, too many promoters seem to ignore their own "rules", &/or bend them to suit.
