What's the lamest entry you've ever written that resulted in a win? |

Just a question...
When they say 25 words or less, do you have to be exact? Like if you write 30 words will they disqualify your entry? Surely they don't count them
all do they? Sometimes I just can't squeeze my answer into 25 words. |

Unfortunatley if thats the entry requirement you will need to stick to it or you have your entry disqualified

My sister won a darrell lea voucher in a comp which asked "why do you want to win" by writing "YUM" 25 times on the back of the envelope! Wish it was
always that easy!

Hi everyone, just new to this forum and you guys have had me in stitches for the past 2 days reading all the stuff you do. I was so worried about what
to write in 25WOL , but having read this forum I now have NO FEAR !!! Absolutely hilarios
I will get with the program and see if I can add any in the future.

I won a HUGE amount of cd's once
it was the 'smack my arse' competition and I had to say who's arse I would like to smack
My answer was
'I'd like to smack Roves arse cos then he would have to smack me back'

im pretty sure they dont even read the WOL for small prizes, i won tickets for a mothers day movie by letting my 16 year old male cousin answer "why
is your mum the best "

My aunty (aged 80) hardly ever enters anything, but about 30 years ago she entered a 25 w.o.l. comp for a new vacuum cleaner. You had to say "what
happened to your old vacuum cleaner?" Her answer was "IT DIED".
She won, and she is still using that same vacuum cleaner!! |

The prize was a kids scooter. I put in entries for my son,and my friends kids who were with me at the time. They were all about the sccoter being RAD
and COOL and all these other words they gave me.Then I put in an entry for my daughter.
"It would be fun if I won one."
She won. They culled out all the Non entries and then drew the winner out of a hat cause"they couldnt choose". All my hard work
Ive also won with
At the beach Bandaid bear would build a sandcastle
then jump on it before he left. |

Return me to normal
So I can be the me I remember me to be!
Soooooooo lame. It takes lame to a new level. I was dribbling shi*.
Amazing how that just works sometimes.

I won a runner up in the Blades movie pass comp.
The question was something like: What song would you choose to skate to with and why? 25 wol
my answer was: Help, from the Beatles cause Im going to
need someone to pick me up off the ice since I cant skate!
I was so sick of entering 25wol so I just threw it in and I won double passes to Blades. |

I was interested to note that unless everyone has changed their usernames - hardly anybody that posted on here is still here!!! I know rosysterini I think it was departed our fine shores a while back & 3little
pigs is still pigleting around & wenchy of course, moo to you wenchy.
All my entries are so wonderful I could not possibly post here, only problem is they don't win either!!!!!
Well occasionally they do.
I thought the one I wrote for the Match Point comp was lame but it won - you had to say in 25WOL a time when you were tempted to do something bad but
fate stepped in...so I made up along these lines...
"I went in to rob the bank but when I went to write the demand note some-one had stolen all the pens!!!"

This is a funny topic and I have my only win with 25 wol with this so very lame answer.
The comp was for a party with Oysters and Sydney Cider.
I had to answer it fast as I had stopped by one of those 4wd cars from a local radio station and they handed me an entry form.
I came up with this in 2 mins.
Oysters could not make me any wider
if I have them with Sydney Cider
And I won....I thought what the???? Did they actually read this. And it was terribly embarrassing when people I invited to the party asked me how I'd
won. |
