Can anyone help please this is driving me insane - have the picture i want on my computer file and cant work out how to transfer it on to my avatar - had this trouble a few years back and still cant work it out :o:o

How do you display an image with in a specific post - like a one off birthday greeting type thing please?

Click post reply at the top of the thread. Copy the url of the image and click the insert image button which is between the email button and the hash symbol button and paste the url in.

Or you can put [img ] picture url goes here [/ img] without the spaces.

Okay this dummy needs help which url do I put in for 'Imageshack' ....joined and registersed but multiple choice I've tried all for two days now:( sad isn't it??

Any help appreciated..

elainepat, try the very bottom option for imageshack... it should say Direct link to image.


In order down the page your options should be:

* Thumbnail for Websites
* Thumbnail for forums (1)
* Thumbnail for forums (2)
* Link back to ImageShack or use the banners and buttons.

*** then four buttons in the middle ***

* Hotlink for forums (1)
* Hotlink for forums (2)
* Hotlink for Websites
* Show image to friends
* Direct link to image

without repeating myself to much..once I went wrong on imageshack..was so much harder to get to back then edit (ie crop, resize etc..)
